Cake Week - Day 1 and 2

This is a serious operation to organize, design and bake all of the cakes. The first picture shows the prep station - the cakes set out in the order to be baked in an efficient schedule. This picture only shows half of the mixes. The middle picture shows the mixing station - two large measuring bowls are used to mix the cakes and all of the many gourmet flavors and extra ingredients. The last picture shows the "cooling" station - cooling racks. The next station is not pictured but it is the wrapping station - each cake is wrapped in plastic and then aluminum foil. The final station is the freezers.

It's a good thing I have a large enough kitchen with plenty of counter space to accommodate all of this.

  1. With cake mixes less than a dollar, it is cheaper to buy a box than to make it from scratch. I customize the flavors according to the request from the boys to make them "gourmet".

  2. Is the auction tomorrow night? One of the year's Scouting highlights? Tangible rewards for all the fun and hard work!
