Our Football Stud

Duncan started his first varsity football game tonight. What a super stud!

He played offensive left guard (right next to the center/quarterback) and blew open holes as wide as a semi so the backs could run for good yardage.

After losing sorely to South Summit last week because the seniors did not care, Duncan was determined to make a statement. At the next practice Monday afternoon, he let out his vengeance out with pads on, of course. The coaches had not seen this part of Duncan. Oh, boy, did he practice hard! Hard enough to earn the starting position. 

During the game tonight, the coaches were not disappointed in their choice. Duncan played harder, more focused and determined than ever before. 

Grandma and Grandpa Watkins were able to watch the game and were VERY impressed. I, as his mother, was overflowing with pride.

When Duncan dons his pads, he transforms into a super star!!!
