Anniversary present?

As we were headed back to Price Monday night, we were  planning on eating out for our anniversary for a BIG celebration! Well, we exited the freeway and waited for the light to turn green. Once it did, my car died!! NOT COOL!!! John was driving so Duncan and I quickly hopped out and started pushing it onto the island and out of mucho SLC traffic. Amazingly out of no where, a good Samaritan and UHP (Utah Highway Patrol) were there instantly. The officer pushed the car with his bumper off the freeway to a nearby park-n-ride where the good Samaritan diagnosed the problem as either a timing belt or fuel pump.

Called a tow truck to take it, and us, back to Grantsville. While we were waiting, we had our celebration at Denny's worried sick about the cost of all of our new adventure.

Blessings:
  • Gratefully it did not happen out in the middle of no where between Spanish Fork and Price!
  • Gratefully the UHP appeared out of no where to push the car. It was a serious hill to go up and there was no way the three of us could have done it.
  • Gratefully, we have family members who love us and are willing to hop into a car instantly to help us even though he was recently in the ER with a kidney stone. (Thanks Steven)
Now we wait for the mechanics to tell us the bad news!

Oh, the joys of automobile ownership!!!

Happy Anniversary?!

  1. Crazy! It must have happened shortly after talking to you. My prediction: it was your blinker fluid. :) Hope it all works out okay.

  2. Isn't it amazing how good things just seem to happen when we're in a jam. Thank goodness Steven was able to come. Wish we lived closer.
